Scalecaller Savior achievement in ESO (2024)

Easy as pie achievement! [Edit] This achievement must be done on Veteran, which was not the case when I originally posted the solution or got my achievment. Thanks to those in the comments for pointing that out.

All you need to do is pick up 2 items and give them to Jorvuld at the end.

After you beat Matriarch Aldis (the third boss - giant on the ice platform) you will see a corrupted leimenid corpse in the water next to the rock face. Interact with it and choose option:

"Take sample of diseased corpse for later research." - The whole group gets it.

Now, after you beat Plague Concoctor Mortieu go over to where Jorvuld is standing and interact with the alchemy station behind him and choose the following option:

"Take sample of disease concentrate for later research." - The whole group gets it.

Final step: After the final boss fight, simply wait for the green ghost to fly into Jorvuld and when you interact with him, choose the dialogue option to cure him.

Achievement is yours!

Just tried ilski's approach of leaving the group before handing over the items, and it still didn't pop. Not sure what else to try... Do you need to be the group leader to get it? Can you only get it if nobody in the group has it?

This is 100% bugged. Did this on two characters and nothing popped or showed in my achievements list.

Great guide. However... you should NOT say "Easy as pie" at the beginning of your guide. There IS an ESO achievement called "Easy as pie", and you could simply have said "Easy achievement to get!"

Easy as pie is common vernacular. This is a nonissue.

Didnt unlock playing on normal but i played on vet left group after the final boss then turned in the two items and it finally unlocked

The dungeon has to be done in veteran mode, it won't work in normal.

I came here to post exactly what @WJS Osiris said. In fact, I might have been in a group with him when I got it. :-)

- I have tried this dozens of times on normal, with no luck. My first time on VETERAN, and it popped.
- I was the one who picked up both pieces of the cure.
- After defeating and looting the final boss, I left the group.
- After the cutscene Jorvuld goes through, I went and talked to him and chose the CURE option.
- Achievement popped.

FYI - 2 others in our group then went and talked to Jorvuld, they both got the achievement when they chose CURE. They did this without leaving the group.

Hope this helps others who were as frustrated as I was. :-)

Echoing others, my experience is that it needs to be done on vet. Tried multiple characters, multiple approaches on normal, never popped. First time through on vet, stayed in group, popped without issue.

Does someone have to have the quest? Because I did on veteran, picked up both items, but after the final boss, nothing happened to Jorvuld. He just stood there. Tried going through the portal and back again. Left the boss area and went back and no luck.

Make sure you hand in the quest first if it's your first time! The green ghost appears after the quest has been handed in!

So annoying we left the group as others said, handed the quest in just before the timer to remove from instance removed us and saw the green ghost flying into Jorvuld and then got kicked!

Not saying it's not still buggy but ifyou haven't handed the quest in make sure you did that first before trying all of these suggestions!

FINALLY got this to unlock tonight after idk how many attempts over several years of waiting for the free trial to try again. Still wasn't working on normal, but did pop first time for me too in Vet. So does seem to probably have that requirement now. Could also just be normal is still broken broken. Idk. Screw this achievement. Finally got it. I could do that dungeon blindfolded now but I wish never to see it again!
