This year make some vintage Thanksgiving recipes to bring back memories and enjoy some of the delicious Thanksgiving dishes that have been passed down for generations.
In my family, we always have a potluck for Thanksgiving. It’s a large family so we get to try so many different dishes and so many are vintage Thanksgiving recipes that have been passed down over the years.
These vintage dishes always bring back memories and often get people talking about their memories of the people who have passed them down. For example, my great grandma’s pineapple cream and coconut cream pies often make an appearance and we all share memories of her, we have a lot because she was a very important part of our family.
Looking at these vintage Thanksgiving recipes may spark memories for you as well. Often we slowly stop making the older recipes and it can be fun to bring them back so maybe one of these will be familiar to you.
You can also check out the 1950s Thanksgiving menu I have shared for more recipes and a full menu you could try out this year. And if you are looking for the best ways to cook a turkey, I’ve got you covered for that as well.
Before you start checking out these delicious vintage Thanksgiving recipes be sure to get my Thanksgiving planner so you can write them down and remember to try them out.
